Hello everybody,

I purpose to add new feature in SharePoint Log viewer to get live SharePoint logs remotely.
I work on this modification and today it work on my lab.

I've added in settings panel a new pane named "remote".
In this pane you can active or disable the remote feature, if you active them you must put server name in the checkbox.
After that, you can start live monitoring.

I need few day after this patch submission for testing and manage the network errors.

I can submit this patch i think next week, if you have idea for this feature or needs just purpose it and i will try to implement that for this patch.

i currently edit the app for SharePoint 2013 compatibility.
I have tested on SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint 2010 environment it works.
I just wait my SharePoint 2007 testing to purpose my new release.
Maybe at the end of the day =)

When you select a message, the details at the bottom of screen should be resizeable.

Just installed latest version it in this SharePoint 2010 VM: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=751fa0d1-356c-4002-9c60-d539896c66ce and it keeps crashing when launched.

I had the same problem, I run as different user who has access to SQL Server ( i.e. farm admin )

checking the eventview was very useful

Not sure what I did, but I opened the Viewer on a Windows 7 client, and opened a log file on a SharePoint server shared directory. I filtered on a log, then clicked the Start Live Monitoring button, got a dialog. Not sure if I clicked on anything else, but now all the *.log files have size = 0.

I left the real time viewer running overnight while a search crawl was being performed. In the morning the server was at 100% memory and cpu utilization. The viewer was not responding. I end tasked the viewer and everything went back to normal.

Squiggle does not open logs in write mode so there is no way for it to overwrite your files or truncate them to 0. No one has reported this issue before.
